Why God Didn’t Remove the Urge

What He didn’t take from you is what He plans to strengthen.

Sometimes we ask God to remove something.

A temptation.

An urge.

A desire that we’re tired of battling.

And sometimes…

He says no.

Not because He’s punishing us—

but because He’s preparing us.

God didn’t remove the urge because the strength gained from resisting it is more valuable than a life of ease.

The resistance is the gym.

The urge is the weight.

And your ability to say “no” is what prepares you to carry the greater weight of responsibility down the road.

This isn’t about torment.

It’s about transformation.

God’s not trying to break you.

He’s trying to build someone who won’t break when it matters most.

Let that change how you see the battle.

~ Praise God
