I don’t.

This morning I woke up at 4:58 AM.

Then I fell back asleep.

Woke up again.

Fell asleep again.

Finally got out of bed around 6:12.

Years ago, I would have called that a failure.

Today, I call it progress.

Why?

Because I am no longer measuring myself against perfection. I am measuring myself against the person I used to be.

The old version of me would have used one imperfect morning as an excuse to drift through the entire day.

The new version of me recognizes something more important:

The battle isn’t won when you never stumble.

The battle is won when you refuse to stop moving forward.

I am dismantling old patterns.

Destroying old identities.

Creating room for someone stronger.

Someone more disciplined.

More dependable.

More resilient.

The transformation isn’t happening in giant dramatic moments.

It’s happening when I brush my teeth even when I don’t want to.

It’s happening when I prioritize sleep.

It’s happening when I choose the process over comfort.

The person I am becoming is being built by thousands of tiny decisions nobody will ever see.

And that’s exactly how real change happens.
