People hurt people.

Sometimes badly.

And when they do, holding onto what happened can feel justified.

Maybe it is.

But justified bitterness is still bitterness.

You can win the argument and still lose years of your life carrying someone who isn’t even in the room anymore.

Forgiveness doesn’t require pretending something was acceptable.

It doesn’t erase consequences.

It simply means I refuse to make my heart a permanent home for what someone else did.

Some people don’t deserve another chance.

But maybe you deserve peace.

Reflection Question:
What are you still carrying because putting it down feels too much like letting someone else win?
