Beware the Whispering Snake
Not every thought in your head is yours.
There’s an accuser. A snake.
And he doesn’t scream—he whispers.
He plants a thought that sounds like your own,
then steps back and watches it take root.
Doubt.
Fear.
Confusion.
These are not fruits of the Spirit.
These are venom in the mind’s garden.
God never sows confusion.
So if it’s confusion—then you know the source.
The enemy’s greatest weapon isn’t pain. It’s suggestion.
He whispers just loud enough to be mistaken for your own voice.
And if you’re not guarding your mental gates,
you’ll let him in the club… and let him DJ.
But what kind of music is playing in your club?
If the beat is fear, if the lyrics are shame—
you know exactly who’s been spinning the records.
You are the bouncer.
Guard the entrance.
Interrogate every thought.
Not all of them are guests—
some are assassins.
~ Praise God
